Emergency response agencies weigh in on preparedness in MedTalk panel

Most of the seats in the Raven’s Cry theatre were full March 3, as the Sechelt Hospital Foundation’s MedTalks series delved into an ever-popular topic on the Sunshine Coast: emergency preparedness.

Moderator Nancy Hughes kicked off the discussion, which gathered local leaders in emergency response across local government, ambulance, hospital, fire and police. Knowing where to get accurate information was a recurring theme, as panellists urged subscribing to emergency notification system Voyent Alert.
