“Tatlan Tu” means deepwater in my native Tahltan language. Killerwhales are the “wolves of the sea”,  and as I belong to the wolf clan, I am drawn to representing them in my artwork. The whales in “Deepwater” are respectful and protective of the necessity of the remaining culture of this previously inhabited coastline village.
