Endowment Funds

A financial endowment is a fund named per your request, from which the interest is used for a general or particular purpose. You may designate the application of the funds for the most pressing needs at the hospital, or you may designate the use of the funds for a specific activity, such as continuing professional education for Sechelt Hospital staff, or equipment purchases for pediatrics services.

To establish an endowment fund there is a transfer of money or property donated to an institution. Institutions that commonly manage endowments include: universities, museums, libraries, theatres, and hospitals like Sechelt Hospital through its Foundation.
